PATHWAYS to Mental Health Program

MEET PGSD’S
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS

Kayla Morgan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has dedicated the past seven years in a private practice setting in Hattiesburg.

Her goal in all she does is to help others be their most authentic selves and work toward being emotionally and mentally whole. She is truly excited to be part of the PGSD team and looks forward to serving both the staff and students.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys quality time with her family, attending Southern Miss events (SMTTT), reading, and travel.

MJ Kirby brings nearly three decades of serving in the church world, dedicated to children and youth ministry and pastoral counseling.

As an Ordained Elder, she sensed a nudge into mental health, particularly in school environments. Most recently meeting students where they are — in the classroom— as an adjunct Psychology instructor. MJ has a School Counselor endorsement and is excited to step into a new role as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor.

Give her a Coke Zero, and she’s ready to get real with PGSD students and staff about the growing mental health crisis we are facing, while offering hope and providing next steps for a brighter future.
