Hope Squads at Colmer and Gautier middle schools organized activities for their peers on September 27, 2024.

 

At Colmer Middle, Squad members collected leaves for their ‘Hope Tree’ in the cafeteria. Students wrote down affirming goals or positive messages while at lunch, and the Hope Squad members planted them on the tree.

 

At Gautier Middle, the team built a ‘Hope Chain’ full of positive words that contribute toward well being for yourself and others. Words linked together to form the chain included ‘empathy,’ 'compassion' and ‘consideration.'
