The Pascagoula-Gautier School District has been notified that a total of 12 students have tested positive for COVID-19 this week, from the following schools: Pascagoula High, the Opportunity Center, Cherokee Elementary, Martin Bluff Elementary, Eastlawn Elementary and Lake Elementary. In addition, six students, who are distance learners and/or were already in quarantine, have also tested positive for a total of 18 students. Three licensed employees, one district-wide, one from Martin Bluff Elementary and one from PHS have also tested positive. In accordance with Miss. Department of Health guidelines, tracing of close contact with these individuals has been done, and 46 close contacts have been notified.
