The Pascagoula-Gautier School District has been notified that three students, one teacher, and two non-certified staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 this week. In accordance with Mississippi Department of Health guidelines, tracing of close contact with these individuals has been conducted and parents of the students who may have come in close contact with these individuals have been notified. At this time, a total of 27 students have been quarantined.
“A huge thank you goes to our parents for helping us stress to our students the importance of continuing to be socially distant, wear masks, wash their hands and not touch their faces,” said PGSD Supt. Wayne Rodolfich. “We truly appreciate their help as well as our PGSD team, who has done an amazing job during these first two weeks of school.”
